Oh man... you've just described my mom! She's sooo bad and I am tired of what my nephew did now. She has ONE picture of my family and a million framed of the baby. I jokingly called the one room as a shrine to the baby. She got insulted. I told her "mom, look around you! There's no fewer than a dozen pictures in this room alone. How many more are in the rest of the house?"

I'm so happy that mom finally got her grandbaby, but she's idolizing the child (my kids are all from hubby's first marriage.) She thinks I'm just jealous and tells me that having a baby of my own would change my mind... no way Jose! I like teenagers... they'll be going to college soon and leaving my home to me! I can actually relate to teens... and have meanigful conversations with them. I'm not about to have a baby just so I can become a n authority on nursing vs. formula. Thanks, but I'll pass.
