How adorable! I envy you. Just don't treat it like that teacher in the dog house did! Hope it does well and we get to see more pics

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Glad Bunny Nicole - or Bunny Nicholas, whichever the case may be - is in good hands. That's one strong baby bunny, as s/he survived being carried in Joey's mouth - even adult rabbits can quite literally die of fright, and Bunny Nicole didn't!

Now, Joey, no bringing mom any more living presents for a while, okay? Sticks are good gifts, or the occasional neat rock ...

It was terrible....I thought that Joey was Killing him...
I have seen the goats that Faint from fright...but I never heard a Bunny Cry.....SAD!!!! but once I picked him up he stopped...
I looked Everywhere for a Nest as soon as it was light out....Still have not found one....There is alot of building going on here,so he might have gotten Misplaced....But he is safe now...I will call and check on Him/Her...So I can call him by the Proper Name

    Glad it all worked out!

One year while the farmer next door was tilling the alfalfa field he found a baby bunny bouncing around. He stopped, scooped it up, and after a few minutes found the nest. He purpously tilled around the nest so as not to disturb it, (but had to stop constantly to catch baby bunnies bouncing in his way). Talk about paitence!

He checked on them one last time and the mother was still nowhere in sight. He left them alone confident the mom would come back, but when darkness fell, the temps dropped and we had a spring frost. He got nervous and didn't live nearby and so called the neighbor who called us. We went out with a flashlight, found the nest and the bunnies towards the front of the nest had froze to death keeping their siblings warm. No sign of the mommy.

So we hand raised 6 baby bunnies. Lots of formula with eye droppers and sleepless nights. When they were big enough to eat dandylion greens, we let them go.

My husband and I were out of town a couple of days and when I came back I checked in on my rabbit Cotton and found a wild baby rabbit in there with her. Cotton took right up with her/he and vice versa I about couldn't seperate them but anyways I took the baby out to try to feed it and give it something to drink and it would eat and drink a little but not enough.....the next day the poor thing past away...I think it scared itself to death but anyways just thought I would share my experience with a wild baby rabbit.
