Don't beat yourself up over it please. You didn't know, and you can't blame yourself for something you weren't educated on. It was an accident. Please don't feel bad. Plus, you don't even know for sure if that is what it was, unless the others did have some symptoms. Anything with blue cheese though is bad, even older food can kill rats very quickly. It was just an accident, and now you know so you don't make the same mistake twice.


I am not sure if the toxins will stay in their system or not, but I will try to do some research for you right now and find out. I am assuming they will be just fine as long as they are eating, drinking, moving etc. If they do get a bloated tummy though you may want to take them to the vet. Let me dig up some info on blue cheese................
