I had a similar kind of rant about my new boss.....he's one of those 'super tekkies'
(gonna slam the nerds and geeks, bear with me....)
He has 'ALL his computers set up in his house, his PS2 and I am gonna get an Xbox because PS2 isn't a challenge anymore....' Like am I supposed to be impressed that he does data base management, plays video games, earns more than me but can't change the oil in his car???

LOL, I have yet to meet an under 35 IT'er that can
scratch his arse without having to write a program , beta test it and snivel that he could do better than Bill Gates....AH's can tell you about Pentium chips and Operating Systems but do not have a glimmer or notion of where the electricity comes from to run the machines....love technologies, but I can't stand the Gen x,y and z puppies coming up thru the ranks..

He then told me that everyone he has trained has eventually taken over his job....But "they could never take over MY job because I know more than they do!" I looked at him and said, "I wouldn't want your job. When I go home I don't want to see a computer." Don't treat me like an idiot because I can't write a DB2 report or install a firewall...

I'm gonna die sunburned and doing something fun outdoors..

Ask If you can get someone else to manage your account....and when asked why, tell them you feel like Mr Money, because he's friends with the boss, may have a conflict of interest...
