We then visited an extremely old mission (can't remember the name) that had not been restored and was still all original and unchanged. It’s one of the oldest missions in San Antonio and was really neat. We were given a guided tour by a very knowledgeable volunteer and really had a good time here. The wall art is original and untouched (not restored at all) other than having been cleaned of years of grime.
The outside. See the fortress wall in the lower left corner? The're were originally several hundred feet, surrounding the mission.

Only a couple of small parts of the fortress walls remain.

Here are the fresco paintings. This was done when the plaster was still wet and has remained all these years!

All of the ceilings were low and the doorways were very short. Just enough clearance room for me and I'm only about 5'4".
We also went on a tour of homes and this one reminded me of the house on the Addams Family for some reason.![]()

I also liked this shot of the bird in the bush.
Hope I didn't bore you all to death with my Texas history!![]()
