Nope, he's not a wuss at all. Ferrets have much thicker skin and when they're kits they learn to play a lot rougher than kitties and other pets are used to. In other words, they bite very hard when they play.

Having said that, I will have another ferret one day. I prefer females because they're smaller and IMO tend to be more affectionate. My males had very little to do with me.

Ferrets are little thieves and can be a ton of fun and entertainment, but they are a lot of work, too. They can be litter trained quite easily since they poop as soon as they wake and will go to the nearest corner to do so. They back they're hind ends up very high to go, so a special litter box is required. I find that they are happier with at least one other ferret in the family to play with.

They should definitely be spayed or neutered for their health.
