    Awww, I just checked out our local bird rescue's site.....the 55 year old green-winged macaw I loved is being adopted!! HAPPY!!

    Edit: here's something I've never seen before: a greater Vasa Parrot. I don't know anything about them, but a quick search turned up some pages that made me think they might be a consideration too. This one's a bit broken, but she's still good!
