If you are going to use a gentle leader or a halti on your dog, please be sure you know how to use it properly. The theory behind the gentle leader is that the strap over the back of the neck and the nose strap will exert downward pressure on the dog's head and neck as the loop that is attached to the leash is pulled up, on either side of the dog's face. This downward pressure is seen by the dog as dominance by you, and it is more likely to submit and obey. Please check with your vet or someone that knows how to use the gentle leader before using it, so that you use it to its greatest advantage, and so that you don't hurt your dog.
