My dog is an 18 month old Boxer, while he doesn't eat sticks all the time, he will eat them. I don't really see this as a problem but you should discuss it with your vet if you are concerned about it. Your puppy is 7 months old and he probably has his adult teeth, it's still feels good for a puppy (and an older dog) to gnaw away on something. Plus, I notice it helps with his plaque build up!
