Dogs of the same breed can definatly look different to an extent --- it depends on what their parents looked like, and their genes in general. Unfortunatly with AKC, you can register a non-purebred dog as purebred because they only need a picture to register your dog. So it's entirely possible that your dog isn't purebred. i just bought 2 labs and they are both paperd akc but after i got my choclate and put it next to the yellow it looked so much differnt.im thinking it just might not be pur bread or i herd that chocolate is a smaller then the yellow and black.i dont know what to think please helpAs far as size is concerned, the colour never changes the size.
Labs can range from different sizes and weights; it all depends on the genes, not the colour.
