The farmer explained that he wouldn't be able to sell her as a working dog as she had an all white face (still not sure about that, myself)
I can answer that for ya! lol most farmers nowadays prefer not to have a lot of white on the face, many dont even like a split face. hwoever originally split face BCs were good because it meant it was easier to tell 2 dogs apart from a long distance when working, but a black border collie is easier to see from a distance then a light coloured one, which is most likley what the farmer was refering to

by the way I am owned by 2 border collies! misty is a split face, smooth coat, from a farm(she is the reason I found out the above info lol) they figered misty would be one of the last to sell because of the split face lol we howver LOVED the split face! lol and happy is a medium coat with two tone legs from a preformance breeder(sports NOT show, or I would not even consider it lol)
