Amber was stumbled upon. Fate I suppose.

I'd had my previous dog, Peps, put to sleep in the January - I wrote a thread on this forum about him.

After several months, I decided that I would like another Jack Russell . After searching through the papers, I contacted a person and arranged to have a look at the Jack Russell puppies that she had left. We were after a bitch and unfortunately someone had pipped us to the post for her last one.

We went back to the paper and noticed an advert for Border Collie puppies for sale at a local farm. I'd never really given a Border Collie a thought but thought I may as well have a look.

As soon as I saw Amber, I wanted her.

The farmer explained that he wouldn't be able to sell her as a working dog as she had an all white face (still not sure about that, myself) and had resigned himself to the thought that he would be stuck with her ( his words). Never the less, we collected her that evening and she is absolutely amazing. She is so intelligent it is untrue and will be one year old next month.

As for me, I'm a carer for the elderly with dimentia, have a 12 year old stepdaughter and a partner of 6 years.

Something tells me that you are going to see a lot more of me on here
