Thread: Update On Homer The Bloodhound Puppy

    Well apparently the breeder (and I use that term loosely) brought Hazel and Homer in to the vet to be euthanized at 6 weeks old! Grrrrrrrr!! Just because they both have calcium deposits in one eye each. The kind vet tech there convinced him to give them up to find homes for them.

    According to my research the calcium deposits should go away on their own in 8 or 9 months. Worse case scenario he'll need surgery, but it's generally totally fixable.

    Still trying to settle on a name.....

    So let's hear all the good ol boy, down home, southern names you can think of!

    One of my favorite series of books (fictional) is aout a woman who raises and does search and rescue with her bloodhounds. My favorite dog inthe series is Bobby Lee.

    As for names how about:

    Holden (as in Holden Caulfield from Catcher in the Rye...it sounds southern)
    Rebel (like Aly suggested.)
    Bo (You know he's just a good ol' boy...geez I'm a loser)
    Forest
    Billy (short for Billy the Kid)
    Wyatt (short for Wyatt Eyrp)


    and that's all I can think of right now.
