Running into an old friend in an unexpected spot

(At the sub shop last night a friend of mine that I've known since 6th grade was in line in front of me! Haven't seen her in probably a year, so it was quite unexpected!)

Friends calling when I'm home and they're at school

I'm at home today again because I *thought* it would be a snow day...turns out I'm the only one who thought that, lol. Then my friend called and I don't know why, but it made me feel better
But I still wish I went.

One small (atually big) pleasure is ...

when I come down to feed Pjevs and I see him happy and healthy, and he leads me to where his food bowl is.

Getting into a hot tub armed with a glass of wine, outside on the deck in a crisp winter night, inhaling the night air.

Shopping on Ebay. One of my guilty pleasures.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Today, driving home on a country road, the sun setting looking so pink over the lake and 2 deer standing off on the side of the road. Thinking how lucky I really am to live out here.

Remembering (especially with the current weather) sitting on the back porch on a warm summer evening shelling fresh-picked peas.

Having someone cut you off of the street
just to see the same thing happen to them farther down the road.
