Kristen, there was a world-wide problem with an e-mail worm. Many ISPs shut down their mail servers. My company has just over 50,000 internal e-mail accounts and the IT organization shut down all mail servers for ten hours until they purged the worm and upgraded the virus protection on our gateway.
