Sandra, it is something that can be genetic in GSDs and some other breeds which usually shows up at 4-5 yrs. old (Shiloh is 5). She has extremely bloodshot eyes. She will need treatment for life, or she will go blind. She would need eye drops multiple times a day and maybe even injections into the cornea. (ouch!) If it can be kept at bay, she won't lose too much vision, but if not, something (?) will grow over her eye. (Don't know the technical terms yet). Now her third eyelid is also moving up her eye on her right eye only. Both eyes are bloodshot.
I've got to get more info. She has eyedrops for now, but I have to take her back in to the vet. Poor Shiloh.
