The container for the soap is a very good idea. It will certainly solve the problem. even if I can't get my husband and daughter in the habbit of putting it in a drawer, I'm sure the cover will discourage Samspon enough to possibly break the habit.

I tried the stern "no" (he is just so stubborn ) , but I never thought of backing it up with an alternative. He certainly has plenty of toys I could offer, great idea!

Anytime. Just remember that every time your dog seems to be listening to you (if he responds well to the toy, stops searching for the soap, ect) praise him a lot! If you like you could even reward him with a treat but make sure it's obvious that his good behavior is making you proud and happy. A lot of dogs will do anything to make their owner proud and this may just steer him away from these bad habits.
