Mew, what a handsome cat you are! Slick raven-black fur, with such polish & sheen. Mew, my KatMa is still crying 'cause she is very angry at the horrible excuse of a human who abandoned you!
Purrr, please tell your MeowMom & Paw-Paw that I, Sasha the Cat, send them endless kittykisses & purrs because they have hearts of solid gold, studded with diamonds.
Mew, like you I was abandoned and even though I did have to live out all alone through a freezing Montreal Winter, in late Spring I found my KatMa who had spent the whole Winter calling out to me! She would hear me crying in the cold but I was too afraid to go to her.
One Spring day KatMa was sitting outside and I heard her voice! Zoom, in a flash I ran over to her. I was pregnant & alone in the city; my KatMa started to tend to me. Paw-Paw said I couldn't come into the Palace 'cause it was ruled by three kitties and one dog.
My kittens were born outside July 18th, 1995. KatMa and a neighbour built a safe shelter for us. KatMa continued caring for me and the babies. She found my five babies good homes.
Late one night in 1996 KatMa saw some bratty boys try to grab me! Freaking out, she ran and got Paw-Paw. Those awful boys left but KatMa & Paw-Paw watched to be I sure was safe. The monster boys came back and tried to catch me again. That was it for Paw-Paw. He came running out, grabbed me and brought me into the Palace -- all the time I was resisting, hissing, spitting, doing the whole cat thing because I had never, ever seen Paw-Paw before!
Even though Paw-Paw had lived many years with the cats Tiggy, Princess & Paddy Paws and Bobby, the dog in the Palace way before me, Paw-Paw was still a little afraid of pussycats. I worked very hard to wrap him round my velvet paws. Finally, my Paw-Paw fell in love with me...
Now, I'm "his little girl" just as you are the most special little boy to your purr~ents.
Homer, you are a most wonderful cat and a fantastic choice for Cat of the Day.
Live long -- darling Homer -- happy, loved and protected. Out all alone on city streets is no place for cats, dogs, or any critter who is a "pet".
