I take it this is a first for you? My Lulu has NEVER got on my lap and she has never let me pick her up. When I need to put her in the pet carrier she turns into a little spitfire. She isn't fond of laying too close to me either. She would only ever cuddle up to Gigi. Since Gigi has been gone, Lulu will let me cuddle her a bit as long as I don't invade her space too much. The closest she has got to getting on my lap is walking across me when I am in bed. But she speeds up to get to the other side quickly! Funny little girl she is. Make the most of the cuddles.
