Saying they were almost extinct is really an inccorect term, as these dogs have so many different bloodlines etc. there are no "purebred" dogs so to speak. I was going to get a kitten from them until I found out that their "Bobcat" heritage could not be proven. There are many so called Desert Lynx breeders out there, but none that I truly believe. Anyways, back to the dogs. Hopefully after we buy our house (next month! Whoo hoo!) and if we can adopt Trixie we will consider getting a pup from them for certain purposes.
Maybe left in Oregon or the states, but that's not the only place these dogs occur, and since none of their lineage can be confirmed anyway (except for the modern bred ones) there is really no way of knowing how many exist or not.![]()
