If you want the honest truth, she looks most like an angora but she is more than likely a "common" domestic long hair. Her build and fur texture is more like the angora than persian OR maine coon. But the bottom line is........It doesn't really matter WHAT she is, she is beautiful!!!!!!

Looks like she could have some Maine Coon in her (I'm looking at the tail) or perhaps just a "plain" domestic longhair. doesn't really matter, she's beautiful and loved and has a good home and that's what's important!

She's a domestic medium haired cat, definitely not persian.

Hard to tell, but she doesn't look like a persian to me ("Aysche" in my siggy was one).

But no matter what she is, she's beautiful, and you love her the way she is, don't you?

I can't tell which one you're referring too - they both look like very lovely heavy-furred kitties!

I don't really see any Persian in her actually, but she might be the "original" kind. Long ago, the Persian's faces are like that. But Princess's fur kind of looks like medium length to me, so I don't know. What is blue tail persians anyway? lol, I've never heard of those

btw, Persians are my favorite breed Blueberry's one, hehe

I have been reading this thread with interest. LOL! The only way to know for sure if you have a Maine Coon, Ocicat, Ragdoll,
Abby, Persian, Pixie Bob or what ever breed is to have a pedigree. And the cat is registered in one of the cat registries. Such as CFA, TICA, ACFA, ect.
Next all cats may have a trait of a purebred cat. A short hair could have the coloring of an Abby or a british short hair. One may have the body type of an Ocicat. One the coat of a Maine Coon. Every and all cats DLH and DSH have some thing about them that looks like a purebreed cat. But with out a pedigree they are a " looks like" or a "Want to Be". As for the first cat that was a pet was no pedigreed cat.
Even in the Maine Coon breed the body type, head type, ear set, muzzle, coat, tail, are all the same in any registry but like in CFA they like the sweeter look, and in TICA they tend toward the more feral look in the face. But all the other standards are the same. You can go to CFA.org and read about the breed and the standards for each breed and how they are judged.

Being the owner of a Persian, I don't see any Persian in that face at all......but I'm no expert......

I thought all Persians look like they ran into a wall....at least that's what Max looks like.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
