One question though, Shelly hasn't officially adopted Nakita yet? I wasn't sure if I understood you correctly. If so, that is the best thing I have heard in a long time! Spending all that time, heart ach, and not to mention money on a pup that "technically" isn't yours. WOW! I wish more people were like that in the world.
Yup, she technically isn't supposed to have her yet, but I knew she was a wonderful woman so we sorta cheated a little so Nakita could be with the family for Christmas. We will do the official paperwork at the shelter sometime next week. Shelly had Nakita for 36 hours before she had to rush her to the emergency room where she spent 4 days and 4 nights, had 2 surgeries, 2 plasma transfusions, countless medication and constant IVs. Can you IMAGINE those vet bills? Plus she has been to the normal vet 5 times since Shelly got her. I feel terrible that Shelly had to pay for all that. I don't know how to pay her back. If things had happened any other way and Nakita didn't have Shelly and her family, then Nakita would most likely have died
But everything worked out, thank God.
