Richard, a mug of hot chocolate would be lovely.
My Christmas story is both sad and happy. My dad passed away on December 9th in 1974. After that I had a hard time getting through December. Then my mom passed away on December 22nd in 1989. That made December an even harder time to get through.
Last week we put my sister in the hospital and over the weekend we were told had we not done that and she received treatment, she would probably have died. But she did go and she did receive treatment. And after all the tests she's had, at this point they are saying (Thank God) that it is not cancer. What they think it may be is her rheumatoid arthritis attacking her body. It may be bad, but it's treatable!
So there is my happy ending. My beloved sister will live to see another Christmas. We are still the four troublesome sisters! I've noticed that we sisters are able to say "I love you" more readily now. I am so thankful for that blessing in my life.
I am also thankful for my grown son and his lovely wife; my wonderful boyfriend who puts up with me on a daily basis, my five crazy furkids, my other two sisters and for my friends.
I hope you all have a very safe and happy Christmas.
