Abbey thanks everyone for their kind words (of course it has also gone right to his head)!!!

Abner showed up at my door 2 years ago. He followed a dog to my house. I tried to give him to my sister-in-law but they did not want to get a cat at that time, so I told my husband that this cat was very smart, that Abbey just followed me right into the house and made himself at home (of course it helps to hold open the door and call the cat into the house).

At the time my hubby was working second shift so by the time he got home that night, Abbey was already comfortable and sleeping in bed with me......smart kitty. He has never left since then, and he is the baby of the family, not just in age but in everything he does. He runs around the house crying if he is not allowed to go outside when he wants to, if he is hungry he cries at his dish, if he knows that you have a glass of milk he will follow you around the house crying for you to stop and give him a drink.
