Consider switching vets Aly, based on the details you've provided here this other vet seems incompetent. You should not have to go through hell because a professional does not know what they are doing! Granted it is possible that when you took Chance into the first vet the stage of things was not as easily diagnosable - maybe that needs to be taken into consideration. But it seems that the first vet made this whole situation much more stressful than it had to be! GAH!
