I have two really pretty salt glazed pottery cats which I adore. I had them "out in the open" for only a few days until I realized they were in peril. Now they are behind glass doors. Ironic that my salt glazed kitties have to be protected from my furry kitties. Trevor broke a depression-ware candy dish when he was a kitten. I learned the hard way. Fortunately nothing else has met a "shattering" end.
