I'm so glad that we're not the only ones laying low. We will have a few friends, thats it (and playing match makers because my daughter's best friend has a crush on my friend's son... both will be at the party, will teenage magic happen at midnight? )

Happy Birthday to Amoore. I know about the getting missed thing. My mom is one week before Christmas and forgotten every year. One year she was making extra money by working at a local supermarket... she was talking to a customer that just had a 1st grandbaby and was telling them how the poor baby will be forgotten every year. Well, just as mom was telling this story to the customer, my grandmom and I walked in - you see, Grandmom FORGOT my mom's birthday that year and was going to surprise her at work with a card and gift. oops. My daughter is also a week after New Years. We make sure that she's not forgotten, but how can we when she reminds us every day... "its currently xx days til my birthday!"

Anyway, I'm so glad to see that people are staying home and avoiding "amature night" I am really looking forward to a peaceful New Years this year and hope that I can stay awake til midnight (I never do, this Cinderella turns into a Pumpkin by 11:00.)
