and WTF.....you can just take your dog and they will put it down without trying to adopt it out??????
You bet. Dogs are property. Just like a car or a pair of shoes. You can kill your dog, or have someone else kill it for you, any old time you want. As long as you do it humanely, don't torture it, and dispose of the body properly, there is nothing illegal about it. Dogs are killed every second, thousands upon thousands upon thousands of dog daily in this country. The one that makes the headlines in a case like this has it made ... it's the thousands of others already dead in the landfill that didn't have a chance.

Too many dogs, not enough homes. Too many breeders, not enough adopters. Too much apathy, not enough action. Same old story.
