Happy 8th month Birthday Katie!! Dale was 67 lbs on Monday...and is about 70 now!! Is she considered to be a big Akita? I am not sure what their size range is.

Anyway, glad she didn't get an ornament that could have harmed her...at least it was a stuffed one!! Dale could care less about the tree...just barks at it occasionally (which is a typical Swissie thing to do...bark at things that seem out of the norm).

She sounds like Dale with that digging in the mud....i think they must be digging to meet each other or something...b/s he seems like he is on a mission when he does it!! LOL! Puppies...gotta love them!! I am glad that she has been there with you through all of the hard times you have had with the cancer...i am sure she will remain a very special doggy to you through out the upcoming years and will hold a special place in your heart that only she could fill!!
