Some cats get along great with rabbits! My friend had a rabbit running free in her house, litter trained, and their cat didn't seem to mind much. Once in a while he would take a swipe at the rabbit, until the rabbit fought back.. Then they just left each other alone.
Perhaps since your kitty is so young they'll become fast friends!
