Of course my fiancee and I talk to Pesto endlessly. We figure as long as we talk to her she will talk to us, and boy does she ever!
I have convinced my father to refer to Pesto as his granddaughter, and even got my 19-yr old brother to call her his neice.
But mostly we just give her and opportunity to give input for decisions,and treat her as though she is one of us. She is very human.
