Something random crossed my mind when I read the title of this thread...One of the inside jokes among my reptile loving friends is that people who only think animals like dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters are suitable pets are "Bunny huggers". Any time we get a disgusted look or anything of the sort regarding our pets we call that person a "Bunny hugger". It's not meant to be offensive, they're just "Unenlightened".

I do adore bunnies though!!
