Your story reminded me so much of our own cat's battle with diabetes. By the time he was diagnosed, his hind leg muscles were quite emaciated and he was having trouble walking (especially up stairs). That was a year ago. Today, his strength has totally returned and is a 'good as new'. Just wanted to let you know that there is every reason to hope for a full recovery. Best of luck to you.
