What a cool experience to live in Japan! My ex was in the military for awhile and I lived in Germany for 3 years. We traveled to many European countries while we were there and it is an experience that I am so glad I had. The one thing that seems the same in Asia as well as Europe is the toilet issue! Some things are just really different from the USA and bathrooms were always the hot topic at military gatherings!!! Enjoy your time because you will recall these memories many times in the future.
