I'm joining this thread late because I've never been much for football. Of course, my college experience might have something to do with that--I went to Northwestern back in the days when the Wildcats royally and righteously sucked. When my friends and I bothered going to the games at all, we'd sit in the stands and chant "Our SATs are higher," and "Library, library, let's go study!"

Not long after I left, NU set what was then the NCAA record for consecutive losses. I'm told that after the record-setting loss, the students tore down a goalpost--and threw it in Lake Michigan.

Now, of course, I live in the heart of Bronco Country. In fact, I can see the pretentiously named Invesco Field at Mile High from my living room window.

I do watch games when the Broncos make the playoffs. And the Super Bowl wins were pretty cool. All I can tell you about this season, though, is that they got off to a great start and then somebody put an injury curse on them.
