I think of sheep as pets and they are raised for food. Whenever the sell comes around. I sell mine, but I keep it as well. You can do that at Livestock Shows. And I am glad too. I would never sell my wonderful sheep.

in fact at one time animals were only food. It was in prehistoric times when the first animals were made into companions. Ok I don't eat horse, Sheep and waterfowl. We are taking food and turning them into pets. Most ducks and geese are food as we all know there aren't a lot of pet ducks out there compared to those who are the dinner not the guest. Just as long as no one eats my duck! Or his new closest friends.

I have 21 duck pals. They are my quack pack. I like them as pets. But, I understand what you are saying.
