Have they contacted the local Malamute or sled dog rescue group? I know there are several throughout the country-maybe someone can help get him into a foster home till they can find a permanent home for him. If I was closer, and didn't rent-I would definately take him, - if the boys got a long I would probably even keep him -I love Malamutes- But I don't know if my Tyr would love an adult male Malamute in his home!
He wasn't thrilled about the Saint I fostered - and Malamutes are less likely to back down from a fight.
