Anna, this is one of my greatest fears. That one of our cats or dogs will get to one of the birds without our knowledge. We feel terrible, leaving the birds isolated, but to tell you the truth, I know it is in their best interest for us to do that.

It is not your fault, Anna. But I understand your guilt. You have all learned a lot from this experience, even though it is a hard lesson.
