As far as mating, it is usually done with the domestic breed a male and the female the wildcat, whichever one the breeder chooses to use. Yes there are always chances of something going wrong but you know what, a lot of people I know have their wildcats hang out with their regular cats, and most of the time it is the domestic cat who is dominant.
