Every 8 weeks, I go (missed my appointment yesterday, darn it). My hairdresser only works a half day on Thursday, and all day on Friday. It is tough to get in with her, but she does a good job with my color and trimming me up, so I'm sticking with her! Because I am prematurely gray and am not ready to be, I have to go at least every 8 weeks to cover up those roots!
My hair "horror" story is from when I was getting ready to start college. My hair was long and straight, and I thought it needed a little "body". Well, the girl who did it thought it was extremely straight too, so she piggyback rolled each section (using two rollers on each section). I had the frizziest mess you have ever seen. My mother was furious with me! Ended up having to have it cut off because it was such a mess. Turned out that I actually had very wavy hair, it was just the weight that was making it so limp and straight! I learned my lesson and there has never been another perm!
Edit: What I forgot to say was that I did the dumb thing in August and my sister's wedding, where I was Maid of Honor was in October! That's why my mom got so mad at me! I looked horrible!!!!!!
