My mom and I were on the lookout for a second dog. We contacted a sheltie rescue in washington. My mom said we'd go there if we couldn't find the right dog here. What attracted me at first was that he was a sheltie (duh!) but then I thought he was the perfect size for us because Kai seems to get along better with smaller dogs than big dogs. He also was extremely quiet and sitting in the corner with a sad look on his eyes. So we filled out an application on his sixth day there (they're required to hold the dog for 7 days minimum). After his 7th day, they called us and asked if we were still interested .
