Prince--mutt--tried my husband. My husband always said it was his fault, that he scared Prince.
Blue--dalmation--Bit my husband's uncle, who had come home covered in deer sent and startled Blue out of sleep. Never reported it. A neighbor, I can't remember if he did bite him, or just tried to. But they guy didn't report it. Then he really got hold of my ex-brother-in-law. Even though he had to get stiches, he defended Blue, saying that the dog was just doing his job.
