Aww! Welcome to PT! Your kitties are beautiful - sorry you're having such a hard time introducing them to each other. It does take T-I-M-E. I was amazed at how long -- at least a month. My two were not OK with each other until around 6 weeks of a VERY SLOW introduction period. Mishi was completely separated from Mitzi for almost three weeks before he started balking at being locked up and I decided to see how they would be together. It was NOT harmony or love at first sight, but there was no blood drawn -- just lots of hissing and puffing -- no clawing or bighting <whew!> Mitzi still just tolerates him, but she does let him lick her and sometimes when I sneak a peak they will be almost touching while sleeping -- but no snuggling/cuddling .... I'm trying to get a picture of them together - it's so cute - cat-butt-to-cat-butt
Give it time, separate them. Slowly get them used to each other's scent by rubbing them with a towel and then letting the other cat have access to the other cat's scented towel. They are all about smell! It's an amazing process to watch unfold. Please keep us posted on your progress, or lack thereof ... and more pictures please!![]()
