sure, I can't even spell 'postponed' correctly and you want me to check for chads????

it's a miracle i can find my way to work in the morning!!

Those stupid $%(*@&^ at the ACLU (notice, THEY look like they haven't had a bath in a few weeks)
think that in all their infinitesmal wisdom that postponing the election will be good for the state.

    1) what about the cost to the taxpayers??

    2) why not ask the people to check for chads?
ask them to be part of the process-instead we are insulted by those morons who think we can't do a simple chore like flipping over the ballot and cleaning it up??

If Catland can check for chads while having a beer, why can't I when i'm in the voting booth???

Like the Touchscreens are going to make people brim with confidence.

We have a special election up here today, just one ballot measure on refinancing some state debt using lower interest rates.

Guess what kind of ballot I have.

(apparently we Oregonians aren't sophisticated enough to have new-fangled systems - we vote the old fashioned way - chads and all.)

These are not the droids you were looking for

Catland, you're in Clackamas County, aren't you? Seven of the 36 counties on Oregon still use punch cards. The rest of use a pencil/pen to mark our ballots. And there was just item to vote on.

Further research shows there are just four counties now using punch cards; Washington, Clackamas, Lane and Umatilla.

    I'm mad......

people in Washington are voting against a coffee tax while
every one in the country is sitting on their hands about the price of GAS......

Gas prices were going up OVERNIGHT........

one day they went up almost 10 cents in two days.....

now that the Arizona pipeline is fixed, holidays are over and the price of a barrel of oil is 25-26 dollars-the prices have gone down
    6 cents in two weeks.......

soon we'll pay 20 cents less and thank God that the prices have gone down....but we'll forget that we are still paying 15 cents more than last year!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever spent a winter here in the grey, drizzly, gloomy, dreary, Pacific Northwest? If you had, you'd understand just how IMPORTANT our coffee is to us - its the only thing that gives life meaning.

This weekend in Aussie, they had a TV doco on the many Californian "stars" who were vying to become the next Governer ....... and told us about your ability to "vote out" the current candidate if you got enough signatures .....

    WOW

They also showed us all the other "People" (can we call them that) that registered ........... by getting 65 signatures .... and paying the US$ 3000.00 to register.

Yup - California - land of the easily amused (as I think RICHARD said)
