i have see quite a few on the sports fields when i drive by the school.....they seem to like soccer quite a bit!!

On the same subject, but a little more serious....

In the past CalTrans has held news conferences where they try
and educate the public on the laws around construction zones.
They also ask the public to be aware of the crews who work on our freeways!

One year they displayed a field of orange cones-around 150-
Each one represented a Caltrans worker who was killed while
working on the roadways of California in the last 75 years.

It averages out to 2 a year.......2 too many!!!

WOW! Rich! My mouth just dropped... We learned to be very careful in work zones while I was in Drivers Ed. I'm scared for life after that class...you see so many "accidents".

That's why the cones are your friends!
Don't be afraid, be careful and everything will be OK!

    Great news!

If you recall I did post something about seeing a cone that my Mom and Dad rescued about 25 yrs ago and it's still in the basement....

    well....

my Mom said I could take it home and he can live with me!! I'm so excited......

I need name suggestions......poor cone has never had an identity up until now
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Cones are your friends, but beware of barrels!!! I hate those orange barrels. They seem to go on for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and..... They are especially awful late at night after a long, long drive and heavy rain for the last 400 miles. Might sound mean, but except for putting a dent in my car, I'd have no problem running over barrels just for the thrill of it!

Oops, sorry, we're talking cones here.

Bosco is sooo adorable. I love the pic with him and Dudley in the window, but Bosco is rather large so I can see why Dudley was a little put out. Maybe you need to set up a window shelf just for Bosco? And it looks like the ratties really love Bosco.

Even the concept of a "dunce cap" is so un-politically correct as to be unthinkable these days. Sigh.

Awwww, such cute pics! I love the toilet one Very cute!! I almost adopted a cone once. There were 5-6 large ones blocking off the road right by my house. My dad told me to go take one cause he heard me talking about it But I didn't want the worked to come after me :x

    -offtopic-
I did that with cement once actually, went to see if I could carve my name into it, but the works started yelling and running after me and my friend LOL :x Didn't see him there..

It's true it is UNPC. They use one on one of the game shows though... The one where the contestants vote which person being interviewed will get a question wrong...

nope and dont want one, they are only pieces of plastic with no feelings, and i dont have the time for such *cough cough* rubbish. and anyway the dogs would just rip a cone to shreads

one of my friends has a few *stolen* cones though, they used them as all sorts of household funiture lol, (they make great pot plant holders, book shelve legs etc)
