I went to the Vet Clinic to pick up the cat carrier & to pay the
bill for Sugar's treatment. The receptionist could not locate the
carrier & said the Dr. had not made out the bill yet, so I waited
for a few minutes. Dr. Walthers came out to the front office &
gave me the carrier & talked again about Sugar. He went over
the results of the post mortum tests with me again. He said
that Sugar could have walked through a toxic substance and
then licked it off his paws. Whatever it was, the result was very
fast acting & did not show up in the stomach contents. It was
systemically absorbed. Dr. Walthers remembered Sugar from
when I found him & first brought him in for an exam when I
first found him almost two years ago. Well, Sugar's gone from
me now, but I'll never forget him.I know he must have been
somebody's cat before he went missing. He was so appreciative
of just having food, shelter & someone to trust to give him head
pats , ear scritches & talk to him about his day when they got
home at night. He'll never be absent from my heart. I'm so glad
he wandered into my life, Thank you all for your sweet words &
kind thoughts about sweet Sugar man.
