I always had a chow growing up and I thought they were great around kids. I remember Mona being so patient with me as a child, and chows are just so mellow. I remember my mom having a lasha apso (sp?) when I was really young and I was scared to death of that dog, it would always jump on me and it just really scared me. But our Chow I always felt so safe with.
