I had the same problem with the litter box and food because I live in an apartment. I have to keep the cat's food on my bathroom counter or else there she would starve to death cause the dogs love her food. I actually keep my bathroom a lot cleaner since I put her food up there. I have a closet near the entryway of my apartment that I'm not using so I put the litter in there. I have the door open only a crack. If Reece goes near there, I call him away and I've never had a problem at all of him in the litter. Now Harley on the other hand...

If you want to test Shai with cats, put her on a leash in the same room as one and see what she does. Or you could use a crate. Its a careful process with a lot involved in the introduction of a dog and cat. I'm not sure how greyhounds are in general with cats. It seems to me they would like to chase them. Hopefully not
