Hi Everyone,
I took Buddy to the Vets today for a regular
Parvo booster shot & general exam.Last Thurs
I gave Bud a dog bisquet & noticed blood on
a piece of it that fell to the floor after
he bit into it. Buddy would not let me hold
his head still so I could look at his mouth.
I put him into a 'sit' 'stay' and backed off. When he relaxed his mouth into a 'smile'
I could see a large red piece of gum tissue
hanging over his bottom teetin the left jaw.
I called the Vet's Thurs evening (it stopped
bleeding pretty quick) just to ask them to
add that as something to check for in today's
exam. The Vet checked Bubby out today and told me it looked like a 'papilloma' and
he recommended surgery to remove it.I made
the appt. for 11/1/01.The Vet will do the surgery and Bud can come home the same day. He also said the biopsy results could be know within 48 hrs.He was very suprised that it had 'come up' so fast.He said it was a fast growing tumor but not to be too worried
about it.
The tumor does not seem to affect Buddy's
appetite, he weighed in at 107 lbs.
