Quite right. I have heard them referred to as "Beagles on Steroids", hehe. They are also related to, and closely resemble Foxhounds (or Walker Hounds as they are called in the U.S.), and they are often described as "shorter Foxhounds". Some people in the U.K. refer to them as "Dwarf Foxhounds"....
